Childcare Float
Big Leaf Montessori School is seeking qualified applicants for classroom assistants.
Hours: 40 hours/week, approximately 8-4:30.
Essential job duties include: Looking for a calm, warm, and consistent caregiver to work collaboratively with a team of educators, parents, and children. Support the lessons and work of the Lead Guide by organizing and making materials, cleaning and sanitizing, preparing food, redirecting and monitoring students during work and play, and guiding children through independent lessons, as directed by the Lead Guide and the Montessori Philosophy.
Float staff would also assist with After Care as needed and be added to our substitute pool for additional work hours.
Qualifications:
Must enjoy working with children
Must have experience with children
Approved Background Check in MERIT (Washington Childcare Registry)
Current on all DCYF training requirements: Background check, CPR Certified, Driver License, Food Handler's Card, and necessary Health requirements
Montessori experience (preferred, not required)
Associate/Bachelor Degree in a related field (preferred, not required)
EOE. Hourly pay based on education and experience.
