Onboard Systems International has an immediate full-time opening for a Production Floater. In this job, you will support the production team by primarily working in mechanical assembly, while serving as additional support in shipping/receiving, inventory, and the QC departments. You will be assembling mechanical aerospace components per drawing and documentation requirements. This is a physical role requiring gross and fine motor skill aptitude. You will use hand tools to assemble and measure our products including cargo hooks and their components.
Qualified applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Approximately 6 months after being hired, you may be subject to FAA drug testing regulations if you join our repair roster, which includes random drug screen for federally banned substances including marijuana.
This position is for day shift, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
- Assemble mechanical aerospace components per drawing & documentation requirements
- Conduct testing & troubleshooting of finished goods
- Potential to perform bead-blasting or other secondary processes of CNC components as Needed
- Disassemble, clean, and inspect components for repair.
- Assist in the shipping department by shipping our products internationally while following regulatory requirements
- Support the QC team by inspecting products and their parts; using basic hand tools
- Operating the computerized parts pulling machine
Minimum 1 year of experience performing similar work ins assembly, WC, Shipping/receiving or quality is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proficiency working with, and following, build instructions, plans, and drawings
- High attention to detail
- Basic Mechanical Skills
BONUS SKILLS:
- Soldering skills
- Experience in international shipping
- Experience with inspection and honing of tight tolerance bores.
- Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) Experience a Plus
Salary: $20-$24/hr; Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K with company match, vacation & holiday pay.
