Position Summary
The Controls Electrical Manager is responsible for performing electrical, instrumentation, and control wiring and installations at the sawmill. The Incumbent will have knowledge of installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining power distribution systems and controls, and while performing electrical work ranging from simple to complex.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess electrical and mechanical requirements, conducting equipment surveys and schematics for accuracy
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
- Perform general electrical maintenance and read technical diagrams and blueprints
- Inspect, diagnose and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures
- Inspect and perform corrective maintenance on circuit breakers and transformers
- Follow national electrical code, and state and local building regulations
- Track repairs and work completed in trade software
- Conduct inspections and tests on electrical systems
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment
- Engage with customers to inform them of issue, solution, and outcome; recommend products and services for optimal system performance
- Other duties as assigned
