Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods and services, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of supply chain processes to optimize inventory levels, transportation, and overall logistics performance. We are willing to train an individual with a good attitude for learning that is looking to get into the aviation industry. Our 145-repair station deals with general and corporate aircraft parts.
Full-time position after a 90-day evaluation period.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 depending on experience.
Duties
- Coordinate and oversee logistics operations, including transportation management and inventory management.
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Returning core units and warrantied parts to vendors.
- Receiving, shipping and issuing parts and supplies to designated work orders.
- Manage inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimizing excess stock.
- Assisting the Sales/Warehouse Manager by creating invoices, repair orders and customer receipts.
- Share in the cleaning responsibilities and weekly upkeep of a small office environment.
- Accurately upload documents and manage online files.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug/alcohol screening to obtain an Airport Badge.
Skills
- Proficiency in general computer use to include Excel, Word, and Adobe.
- Willing to learn other software programs for daily purchasing requirements.
- Ability to professionally communicate with customers and vendors via phone and email.
- Excellent data analysis skills to interpret logistics data effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Must be able to work until 6:00pm.
- Must have reliable transportation.
