Flexible with scheduling.
Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
Instruct and promote youth and adult climbing wall programs at BASE.
Follow all CWA climbing wall safety standards, rules, and procedures.
Build community through climbing wall programs.
Assess climbing wall equipment regularly for safety.
Assist with special events including but not limited to Halloween Costume Climb and community bouldering competitions.
Assist with climbing wall training for BASE staff members.
Provide orientations to passholders to learn how to safely use auto belays, top roping, and bouldering wall.
POSITION SUMMARY
The BASE Climbing Wall Instructor is responsible for leading new and experienced climbers on the wall in a safe and positive manner. He/She ensures an accessible, inclusive, and safe environment for recreation participants.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- CPR and First Aid Certified

CWI certified (Level 1 and 2)
- BSCO may be open to arranging a certification class for interested candidates who are not currently certified

- Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a field environment.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
