What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Big Spring Country Club?
Big Spring Country Club is looking for a Lifeguard for our pool. The Lifeguard will be responsible for monitoring the pool during the entire length of the session and responding to any immediate safety needs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the area while the session is in progress to ensure safety and security of all members and guest.
- Ensure that the pool is clean and dry at the end of each session
- Perform pool testing, including pH, chlorine, alkalinity, etc.
- Maintain a safe working environment by keeping chemicals and equipment clean; maintaining cleaning supplies stock
- Comply with health and safety standards
- Ability to work outdoors, in all weather conditions and be on duty during inclement weather conditions
Experience/Education/Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Certification Requirements
- Current CPR/First Aid certification required
- Current Louisville, KY Lifeguard certification required
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with staff, members, guest, etc. in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $17.00 per hour
