Job Overview
Big Tex Trailers has an immediate opening for an experienced Warehouse Lead in Mt. Pleasant, TX. The general purpose of this position is to manage the inventory in our small parts warehouse for the production team and coordinating with the purchasing team for reordering material by implementing a Kanban system. This position will report directly to the Materials Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure quantities of material received matches packing slips provided by the receiving team.
Ensure current on hand inventory is correct through a successful cycle count program of all material in warehouse.
Ensure requested material matches what is in bill of materials for current production.
Implement Kanban system to ensure availability of material for production team and coordination with purchasing team for reorder.
Ensure weekly line changes are planned outside of production windows by coordinating with line supervisors for next days production needs.
Ensure all line side material is available in the warehouse.
Work with Parts Department to track and transfer their orders through the MP Manufacturing site.
Supervise forklift driver and cycle counter designated to small parts warehouse.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Must be capable of standing for entire shift and sitting for extended periods of time.
Able to lift-up to 50 lbs.; ability to demonstrate full range of motion for reaching, bending, kneeling, and stooping.
Will be exposed to extreme heat and cold depending on weather.
Subject to dirt, dust, oil, welding fumes, traffic hazards, and high noise levels in the workplace
