Education Requirement:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Experience:
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Experience in receiving, inventory, and general bookkeeping operations.
- General understanding of inventory principles and experience with retail programs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Examine receiving documents and compare them with records, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
- Monitor and address negative inventory quantities, identify and resolve underlying issues to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Ensure data accuracy within the inventory management system to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Support Accounts Payable (AP) as needed.
- Perform various inventory support functions: cycle counts, product audits, research discrepancies and location audits.
- Provide support to buyers and store management: create POs, import data, build SKUs, and provide research.
- Support store receiving teams: product check in, warehouse organization, and receiving documents.
- Train receiving and inventory functions as necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Competencies:
- Understand the lifecycle of merchandise, including receipt, quantity on hand, and point of sale.
- Demonstrate a passion for detail, inventory control, and store operations.
- Skill in establishing priorities and managing workload and time effectively.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Experience in a retail environment, either in inventory, sales, or back office.
- Excellent quantitative and computer skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to use analytics and research to make sound decisions.
Physical Activities:
- Ability to work on feet (for long periods of time) and in a hot and humid or cold environment.
- Potential for exposure to slippery surfaces and allergy irritants.
- Able to frequently push or pull moderately heavy objects (approx. 50-100lbs).
- Able to lift approximately 50lbs.
- Able to use a ladder.
- Operate a forklift.
