Description
The Purchasing Manager collaborates with other departments and leadership to purchase and receive goods with accuracy and efficiency per the company's specifications. This position reports to the Installation and Special Projects Manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Executes the purchasing strategy.
- Lead the supply chain team as necessary.

Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reviews and processes purchase orders.
- Maintains and records goods orders and received.
- Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
- Evaluates vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price; negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers.
- Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfillment of orders.
- Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services every 6 months.
- Coordinates with site leadership to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
- Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems as they arise.
- Travels to vendor locations as necessary.
- Stays current with purchasing technology and oversees purchase and implementation as necessary.
- Participates in SOW meetings to determine supply needs.
- Forecasts potential delivery delays and develops alternative plans.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Three years of relevant experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to accurately exchange information with co-workers, management, customers, and vendors.
- Occasionally moves files and boxes of records weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as copiers, printers, and telephones.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90% of the time.
