Job Overview
Join our team of high-vibe, craft-beer-loving folks for a fun, lucritive summer! We are seeking a skilled Server/Bartender to join our team, starting at the end of May. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craft beer, hospitality and providing exceptional customer service in a restaurant setting.
Duties
- Prepare and serve beverages to customers following standard recipes
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and taproom area and equipment
- Check customers' identification to confirm legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Upsell additional products when appropriate
- Run food, bus tables and ensure efficient customer rotation in the taproom
Requirements
- Previous experience in the restaurant or food service industry preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive experience for guests
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of basic math for handling cash transactions
- Familiarity with food and beverage preparation and handling procedures
- Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems

- Knowledge of food and beverage equipment desired.
- Ability to learn about the brewing, beer and food operations for best answering questions and assisting customers.
- Ability to treat all coworkers and customers with kindness and fairness.
- Ability to multi-task and focus on all aspects of operations to ensure smooth delivery of services.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- This position may be required to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices, and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting on an occasional basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching and speaking a constant basis.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests and employees.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length at a time over an over shift of 8 hours.
- While performing duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance and taste or smell
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds on a regular and continuing basis
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to non-slip footwear and gloves.
