SUMMARY: The Lot Attendant at an auto auction is responsible for ensuring the efficient and orderly flow of vehicles through the auction lot. This includes moving and parking vehicles, maintaining lot organization, and assisting with vehicle inspections. The Lot Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining a professional and organized environment that enhances the customer experience.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vehicle Movement and Organization:
- Move vehicles to designated areas within the auction lot.
- Park vehicles in an orderly and efficient manner to maximize lot space.
- Ensure vehicles are lined up properly for auction events.
Vehicle Inspections and Documentation:
- Conduct basic inspections to verify vehicle condition.
- Document and report any noticeable damage or issues with vehicles.
- Assist in tagging and labeling vehicles for identification.
Customer Service:
- Provide assistance and directions to customers and dealers.
- Answer basic inquiries regarding vehicle locations and auction procedures.
- Assist customers with locating and accessing vehicles.
Lot Maintenance:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lot.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, including proper parking and vehicle handling procedures.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of auction events.
Coordination and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with the lot manager and other team members.
- Use two-way radios or other communication devices to coordinate vehicle movements.
- Follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate a variety of vehicles, including manual transmissions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and move vehicles for extended periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Outdoor environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
- Fast-paced and dynamic work setting.
- Requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
