Vehicle Auction Detail Technician

SUMMARY: We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Auto Auction Detailers. In this role, you will be responsible for washing and detailing a large volume of vehicles each week to ensure they meet auction standards. Our ideal candidate has experience in vehicle detailing, including washing, vacuuming, upholstery and carpet cleaning, waxing, polishing, and headlight restoration.

• Wash and detail approximately 500 auction vehicles weekly, ensuring they meet our high standards.
• Perform thorough interior and exterior cleaning, including vacuuming, upholstery, and carpet cleaning.
• Apply wax and polish to vehicle exteriors to achieve a showroom-quality finish.
• Restore headlights and other exterior components to improve vehicle appearance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and supplies are used efficiently.
• Report any vehicle damage or issues identified during the detailing process to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures while handling vehicles and cleaning products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have prior experience in vehicle detailing, including washing, vacuuming, cleaning upholstery, waxing, and polishing.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends, as needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Detailers must be able to perform repetitive motions, such as washing and scrubbing, and handle various cleaning tools and chemicals.
• Environment: Work is primarily performed outdoors and in a detailing bay, where exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity, is expected. Detailers may also work around automotive fumes, dust, and noise.
• Schedule: The position may require flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime, depending on the auction schedule and workload.
• Safety: Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and eye protection must be worn when handling chemicals and performing certain tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
