Position Overview
The Sales Manager position will lead our sales team and drive the growth of our business. The position requires a motivated and results-driven individual who will possess a proven track record of success in sales leadership, be capable of developing and executing strategies to meet and exceed sales targets and foster a high-performance sales culture. This role will focus on cultivating strong customer relationships, improving sales processes, and mentoring the sales team to achieve company goals.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple individuals and projects simultaneously. They will work closely with sales staff, including project managers and the internal design team. They will work cross-functionally with operational teams to ensure smooth project execution and drive sales growth. This position will be a part of the Management Team.
Must be able to manage staff and serve as the “go-to” for all company sales matters. Strong leadership skills will be required as the company pursues an aggressive growth campaign. Professionalism and confidentiality skills are a must.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and Manage Sales Team: Supervise, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals.
· Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive business growth and expand the customer base.
· Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
· Sales Reporting & Analysis: Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
· Training & Development: Provide training and ongoing support to sales team members to enhance their skills, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
· Collaborate with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing department to align sales strategies with marketing initiatives, promotions, and campaigns.
· Achieve Revenue Targets: Ensure the sales team consistently meets or exceeds revenue and performance targets.
· Sales Forecasting: Prepare sales forecasts and set performance targets to guide team efforts and track progress.
· Customer Feedback: Collect and report customer feedback to improve products, services, and overall customer satisfaction.
Collaboration & Communication:
· Collaborate with project managers, operational supervisors, design team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and profitability through an aggressive growth campaign.
· Attend project meetings and assist with logistics planning and coordination.
· Perform cost/margin analysis to identify potential project profitability risks.
· Promote a culture of collaboration and high performance within the sales team. Responsible for the growth of the team as needed as the company grows.
Qualifications
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Advanced Degree or Sales Training Preferred
Experience:
· 5 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a sales leadership role.
· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
· Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and strategies.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
· Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, both direct reports and management, and cross-functionally with operations and finance.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on accuracy.
· Ability to anticipate issues and implement solutions to meet sales goals.
· Understanding of the sign/printing business, materials, equipment, typical project constraints, and workflows.
· Strong negotiating skills and experience working with customers and other external partners.
