Job Description: We seek a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in kitchen preparation and cooking, with at least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and various kitchen equipment.
- Acknowledge and uphold the highest quality standards for products served.
- Familiarize yourself with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules to ensure seamless service periods.
- Stock and maintain sufficient food product levels at line stations to ensure smooth operations.
- Portion food products according to standard sizes and recipe specifications.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, saut burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
- Prepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing, or other cooking methods by portioning, seasoning, and/or marinating.
- Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
- Properly handle, store, and rotate all products.
- Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
- Closely follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations and assist others in closing the kitchen.
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
