Shipping Coordinator

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our team. This role is key in overseeing and optimizing our shipping operations, including freight and parcel negotiations, hazmat compliance, and ensuring efficient, cost-effective deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Shipping Operations: Oversee day-to-day shipping operations for both freight and parcel deliveries, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective shipments.
• Freight and Parcel Negotiations: Lead negotiations with carriers to secure competitive rates and optimal service levels for all shipments.
• Hazmat Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all hazmat regulations, including proper labeling, packaging, and documentation for lithium battery shipments.
• Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations and to resolve shipping-related issues promptly.
• Process Optimization: Continuously analyze shipping processes and implement improvements to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and meet customer delivery expectations.
• Team Leadership: Work cross-functionally with the logistics, customer service, and inventory teams to meet business needs and manage growth.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in shipping and logistics, particularly with freight, parcel shipments, and hazardous materials (hazmat), with a strong understanding of lithium battery shipping regulations.
• Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, growing environment.
• Bilingual: Proficiency in both English and Spanish (preferred).
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset to address challenges in real-time.
• Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail, especially in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements for shipping and hazmat.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to negotiate effectively with carriers and coordinate across teams.
