BigBear.ai is seeking a Director, Human Resources Business Partner to lead HRBP team. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, strong communicator with a customer service mindset. This is a visible and rewarding position with the opportunity to contribute to company success through providing quality service to our federal employee base. The position will be a remote role with the ability to go into our Headquarters in McLean, VA on a limited, as-needed basis only. This 30 hours per week position reports to the Vice President of HR.

What you will do
- Leverages the infrastructure and programs to deliver, high touch HR services to employees, people managers, and senior leaders across the company
- Coach managers to improve people management capabilities
- Participate in change management process as the company's programs, policies, etc evolve with the growing business
- Manage a team of HR business partners
- Assist in conducting pulse surveys and analyze data regularly to understand morale, retention, engagement, and related trends for assigned organization
- Determine solutions for HR-related challenges in collaboration with people managers and senior leaders.
What you need to have
- Bachelor's level degree with 15 years of relevant experience; or Master's level degree with 13 years relevant experience
- HR manager experience
- Proven success in talent development, succession and workforce planning
- At least one other assignment in an HR specialty knowledge area
- Proven experience supporting a client base of CONUS and OCONUS employees
- Proven success working in a public company
- Relevant work experience at a federal government contractor supporting DoD and Intelligence agency work
- Proven bility to be results driven and a trusted advisor to leaders, peers and employees with a coaching/consultative approach
- Strong compensation analysis skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work through complex issues to identify viable solutions
- Ability to problem solve a variety of complex, highly sensitive employee issues
- Proven HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
