Summary
We are seeking an Office Coordinator to join our team at Bigfork Valley. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations within our medical campus. The Office Coordinator will manage administrative tasks, support team management, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities of business office and admissions personnel in organization by performing the following
- duties.
- Establish internal controls to ensure standards are being met.
- Analyzes and organizes business office operations and procedures relating to patient relations,
- admitting/registration, primary and secondary billing, flow of correspondence, filing and other services.
- Keeps abreast of regulations and standards relating to business office functions to ensure compliance with orders
- and directives issued by duly constituted governmental/regulatory agencies and/or third-party payers.
- Contributes to team effort by participating in organizational activities, committees, planning, evaluation, and
- designing, in relation to established standards and new technology for continuous quality improvement.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional
- publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Coordinates all insurance provider credentialing.
- Monitors accounts going to MARS for pre-collections and the collection agency and provides necessary reports.
- Actively works within the Revenue Recapture system to ensure accounts are updated accurately.
- Monitors small balance write-offs and credit balances on accounts.
- Keeps management informed by analyzing reports, summarizing information, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvements or enhancements.
- Assists with ensuring corporate compliance by reviewing random samples of insurance billings and medical records routinely to ensure claims are billed/coded correctly.
- Maintains office efficiency by planning, directing, and coordinating related activities and supervising the workload of staff.
- Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
- Maintains a positive attitude toward clients and staff.
Requirements
- A two-year healthcare or finance degree, or three to five years of related business office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
