Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages to our customers. Your friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills will ensure that each customer has a positive experience at our coffee shop.
Responsibilities
-Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take customer orders and prepare beverages according to their preferences - Operate coffee brewing equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks - Provide recommendations to customers based on their preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including the counter, seating area, and restroom
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register - Follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages - Assist with stocking inventory and replenishing supplies as needed
Requirements
- Knowledge of retail math for cash handling purposes
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours - Basic food preparation skills, including knowledge of food safety practices
- Strong knowledge of different types of coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Proficient in operating a cash register and handling cash transactions accurately - Basic math skills for calculating order totals and providing change to customers - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
