In This Role
Work is typically on the casino floor. Work areas may be warm, cold, or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Tasks may be required to be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.

In This Role
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude, ensuring positive guest interactions by always demonstrating Gun Lake Casino Resort's AAA 4-Diamond service standards.
- Follow the Steps of Service as outlined by the F&B Department to ensure guest satisfaction and consistently high secret-shop scores.
- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort's "Unsurpassed Service" standards at all times.
- Have complete knowledge of all menu items including their preparation, ingredients, cooking methods, portions, and prices. This includes all bakery/deli case items and beverages.
- Be aware of activities in the venue including, but not limited to, the service standards of bussing tables, station assignments, special functions, and the availability of particular items.
- Ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the venue by alerting management of any guest opportunities, including, but not limited to, service opportunities, food quality issues, and any Guest experience flaws (temperature, lights, etc.).
- Ensure proper service by being aware of the business volume and capacity as well as identifying Guest opportunities in advance and addressing them immediately and assisting in any way possible.
- Greet the Guests pleasantly, quickly, and efficiently in an "Unsurpassed Service" utilizing department standard procedures. Ensure Team Member safety by being alert and identifying any safety hazards both in the restaurant and in the immediate vicinity on the casino floor and notifying management or appropriate personnel immediately. Ring in carry-out and dine in orders for Team Members and Guests and ensure that all orders have all necessary items for accuracy.
- Be able and willing to participate in, and pass Barista Training with a mandatory 80% test pass rate
- Responsible in memorizing the steps in creating custom craft coffee beverages, ingredients, and procedures
- Ensure the proper maintenance and cleanliness of all equipment, including but not limited to the espresso machine, Turbochef, and Hot Dog Roller, per standards laid out by management
- Stock and rotate all food items according to FIFO (first in / first out) standards.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency while multi-tasking and can work in an environment that has extreme business levels at times while maintaining high-quality product and service delivery.
- Responsible for promoting, selling, and upselling items during transactions.
- Remove debris (napkins, straws, etc.) from the floors, counters, dining area and surroundings as necessary. This includes condiment or trash stations.
- Comply with Board of Health Standards and safety rules & regulations as established by the company.
- Inform the immediate supervisor of any product shortages and equipment needs.
- Have detailed knowledge of the resort and its amenities.
- Responsible for register bank and all money, charges, and comps collected during a shift.
- Must maintain accurate cash handling and blind drop procedures when using a cash bank in accordance with department policies.
- Serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with Alcohol Awareness training.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Must be at 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One (1) year of prior experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment while maintaining proper portion control, safety, health, and service standards.
- Must have cash handling experience. Must be willing and able to participate in ongoing training.
- Must hold/maintain certification with food handling procedures (ServSafe) and Alcohol Awareness (TIPS) and / or the ability to gain/maintain training requirements from both programs. If not already certified, training will be provided.
- Must manage time effectively with minimum supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, Team Members, and management in both written and verbal form.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and mature decision-making.
- Must be able to handle a flexible schedule.
- Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
- Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.
- Requires the ability to bend over regularly, and to twist at the torso to complete job duties.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push up to 250 pounds on a pushcart, and enter walk in coolers & freezers of between -10 to 40 degrees without assistance.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the assigned shift.
