Maintenance Lead

Biggs Property Management is seeking a skilled Maintenance Lead Technician to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN to maintain the integrity and functionality of our new community! As the lifeblood that keeps the property running smoothly, the Maintenance Lead role is crucial in providing an outstanding living experience for our residents.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with high standards in maintenance quality. They display professionalism in all tasks and interactions, ensuring company standards are upheld. This role requires someone who works well both independently and collaboratively, has strong time management and customer service skills, and takes ownership of their responsibilities.

Maintenance Lead Roles and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Lead is primarily responsible for supporting and assisting the Maintenance Manager with overseeing a region of Biggs Property Management multifamily housing portfolio of properties- both owned and fee.  The Maintenance Lead will ensure that each assigned property is well maintained, meets, or exceeds its performance targets, regulatory compliance requirements, and ownership objectives.

Performance and attainment of ownership objectives will be achieved by ensuring that:

·        Expenses are carefully managed

·        Employees are properly trained.

·        Stakeholder satisfaction is a continual focus-owners, lenders, regulatory personnel, employees,           and residents.

·        Assets are preserved and maintained to the highest standards.

·        Regulatory compliance and adherence to all legal requirements are reinforced.

·        Efforts to secure new third-party property management engagements are supported.

·        Assist the Maintenance Manager with maintaining positive client relations and assist in solving               potential concerns or emergencies.

·        Assist the Development team with the rehabilitation of existing portfolio and the development of           new assets as needed.

The Maintenance Lead will also assist with special projects which may include due diligence on any new properties Biggs Property Management may decide to take over management, or contract for potential 3rd party fee clients.

The Maintenance Lead is a "working" lead and is assigned a property or group of properties that require Maintenance Tech duties to be performed.
