Responsibilities

Installation and Setup : Install and configure audio and video equipment, including speakers, projectors, screens, and control systems, ensuring proper functionality and alignment with client specifications.
Technical Support : Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AV systems, diagnosing and resolving issues to maintain optimal performance.
Client Interaction : Communicate with clients to understand their needs, offer recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with the final installation. Provide clear explanations of system operation and maintenance.
System Integration : Integrate AV equipment with existing systems and networks, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility.
Documentation : Maintain accurate records of installations, modifications, and maintenance activities. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and management.
Compliance and Safety : Adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines during installations and service calls. Ensure all work is performed to the highest safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications :

High School Diploma or GED : Basic educational requirement.

Technical Training or Associate’s Degree : Preferred in fields related to electronics, audiovisual technology, or a related area.

Industry Certifications :

AVIXA (Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association)

BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Service International)

Experience :

Previous Experience : Hands-on experience in AV installation or a related field, such as electronics or IT support, is often preferred.

On-the-Job Training : Practical experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting AV systems.

Technical Skills :

Knowledge of AV Equipment : Familiarity with various audio and video equipment, including projectors, screens, sound systems, control systems, and networked AV solutions.
