Bijou Lab is a rapidly growing online based fine jewelry brand specializing in customized, sustainable engagement rings. We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Operations and Social Media Assistant to support our small but growing company.
We are looking for a motivated individual ready to step in and contribute immediately. Your primary role is to support our daily operations by aiding in management of order fulfillment, email communication, and assisting in marketing. This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail organized, positive, enthusiastic about Bijou Lab’s mission and jewelry and is eager to learn and help out while learning new skills and working on all aspects of the brand.
This role is ideal for someone looking to learn and gain experience in operations, marketing/content creation, is passionate about contributing to the rapid growth of a small business, and/or wants to gain experience in jewelry/jewelry design.

Description of Work:
- Part-time role located in Towson, MD 21286
- 3 days/week in-person
- Hours: 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
E-Commerce:
- Create and print shipping labels using our shipping software.
- Fulfill and pack orders securely, ensuring that all items are protected during transit.
- Double checking all orders to ensure there are no shipping errors.
- Organize and maintain shipping supplies and inventory.
- Prepare and ship items to the courier
- Prepare and send clients shipment status emails
Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service as the front line of communication (via email and Instagram)
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via email, ensuring clarity and a positive tone.
- Gain a deep understanding of our products/services to provide accurate and helpful responses.
- Provide order follow-up, shipment tracking, and order updates.
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Uphold our brand values in all written communications, ensuring a friendly and helpful voice and patience in communication
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Administrative or Hospitality Experience a plus
- Enthusiastic, willing to learn and help
- Past jewelry experience not required, willingness to help and learn about jewelry is
- Positive attitude
- High standards in interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace, email management
- Must have a reliable car
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in customer service, preferably in an email-focused role is a plus
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to empathize with customers and manage difficult situations with professionalism.
