Job Title : Special Education Teacher (SPED) Location : Lancaster, SC Position Type : Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
About the Role : We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team in Lancaster, SC. This role involves working in a self-contained classroom setting with students who have moderate intellectual disabilities. Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to support student growth and development
Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to promote student success
Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
Adapt instructional methods and materials to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities
Schedule : 37.5 hours per week
Qualifications :
Must be a certified Special Education Teacher in South Carolina
Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities preferred
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to maintain a positive and patient approach to student learning and behavior
