Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and academic success of students. The School Psychologist will provide services that promote a positive learning environment and foster the overall well-being of students.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans for students with diverse needs.
- Provide counseling services to students facing emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create supportive educational strategies.
- Engage in crisis management to address immediate student needs and ensure safety.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to student assessments and interventions.
- Offer case management support for students requiring additional resources or services.
- Facilitate early intervention programs for at-risk students to promote their academic success.
- Provide training and support for staff on best practices related to mental health and disability awareness.
- Advocate for students with developmental disabilities or other special needs.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of psychological testing methods and interpretation of results.
- Familiarity with child family counseling techniques is advantageous.
- Strong skills in crisis management and case management practices.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, families, and staff.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $55.12 - $58.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
