Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and educational development of students. This position involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a safe and effective learning environment for all students, particularly those with special needs.
Duties
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents.
- Provide crisis intervention services to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Offer counseling services to students dealing with personal or academic issues.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create strategies that support students with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of student progress and interventions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student needs and progress.
- Provide training and support for staff on best practices in behavior management and crisis management.
Skills
- Proficiency in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Experience in patient care, particularly with children facing various challenges.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum.
