Purpose:
The Express Technician is responsible for performing oil changes and light maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. A express technician is expected to perform quality work without direct or continual supervision and be able and willing to work on all work assigned to him/her.

The Express Technician is responsible for performing oil changes and light maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Essential Duties :
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnoses vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
- Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
- Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Road tests vehicles.
- Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
- Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Inspects and test drives newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage ad missing major components and driveability functions.
