Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our growing Human Resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the company's payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees while working in a fast pace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the processing of weekly payroll for all employees, including hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including time and attendance, deductions, and benefits.
- Process garnishments, levies, and other deductions as required by law.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks and/or direct deposits.
- Process journal entries.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Assist with other HR-related duties as assigned.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing preferred.
- Strong understanding of payroll fundamentals and data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain the confidentiality of employee data and conversations
