Overview
We are seeking a Dedicated and Detail-Oriented Service Writer / Parts Rep to join our Automotive Service Team. The ideal Candidate will act as a Liaison between Customers, Insurance Companies, Vendors, Service Technicians and other Team Members, ensuring that all Automotive/RV Repair needs are Accurately Communicated and Addressed. This role requires Strong Organizational Skills, a Passion for the Automotive/RV Industry, and the Ability to Provide Exceptional Customer Service.
Duties
- Greet Customers and Assess their Automotive Service needs.
- Document Customer Concerns and Vehicle Issues Accurately.
- Prepare Detailed Service Estimates and Explain Services to Customers.
- Coordinate with Service Technicians to Ensure Timely Completion of Repairs.
- Schedule Appointments and Manage the Workflow of the Service Department.
- Follow up with Customers regarding their Vehicle Status and any Additional Services Needed.
- Maintain Accurate Records of Services Performed and Parts Used.
- Provide Information on Warranties, Service Contracts, and Promotions.
- Ensure a Clean and Organized Workspace for both Customers and Staff.
Experience
- Previous Experience in Service Writing or a similar role within the Automotive/RV Industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with Auto Body Repair, Automotive Repair Processes, Batteries, and Tire Services is a plus.
- Knowledge of RV Components; Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Appliances, Air Brakes, Shocks, Struts, and a General Mechanical Knowledge will be beneficial.
- Strong Communication Skills is required to effectively interact with Customers, Insurance Companies, Vendors and Team Members.
- Ability to work in a Fast-Paced Environment while Maintaining Attention to Detail.
- Proficiency in using Computer Systems for Parts Ordering, Documentation and Scheduling.
