This role will be located in our HQ in Austin, TX. Our office is spacious, centrally located, dog friendly and always stocked with snacks and cold brew on tap! We offer a hybrid work model, where employees are able to work from home on Fridays.
The Role
Billd is looking for an Account Manager to handle a critical part of Billds operations : processing and managing the day-to-day deal flow from contractors. The Account Management team is the heartbeat of the business and works hand-in-hand with our Relationship Managers and Sales Operations on a daily basis to process material purchases and pay app advance requests.
The ideal candidate has experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Customer Success, and / or the Construction industry. Most importantly, the ideal candidate loves helping our customers grow and goes above and beyond to support the Relationship Management team and make sure their requests are filled with urgency and accuracy while mitigating risk for the company.
What Youll Do
- Underwrite daily financing requests for funding including, but not limited to : reviewing purchase statements, checking invoices and Pay Applications for accuracy, connecting with and setting up new supplier accounts and / or general contractor accounts, and completing other critical due-diligence steps.
- Work cross-functionality with tangential departments to provide real-time updates on financing due diligence & approval statuses.
- Maintain detailed notes and updates on all financing requests to ensure all required documents, projects, and purchase requests are accurate and up to date.
- Mitigate fraud through advanced due diligence practices as well as making informed recommendations to improve Billds anti-fraud policy, process, and technology.
- Work in close coordination with the Credit team to improve Billds Credit Policy and portfolio performance.
- Support and contribute to the department's process and policy improvements.
- Effectively triage decisions that require escalation to administrative review.
- Support internal projects, such as audits and updates to the contractor and supplier procedures.
