Site Procurement Lead
Summary:
The Site Procurement Lead is responsible for the procurement and purchasing activities on assigned projects. The individual will lead Procurement operations at the specified client location/s by promoting integrity and excellence, and by fostering a culture of customer service, continuous improvement and process standardization. The role will adhere to Bilfinger Procurement Group Policies and divisional regulations during all procurement activities. Position requires an individual who thrives in a schedule driven environment where timing is a critical function.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Responsible for all procurement and purchasing activities on assigned projects
- Place accurate, timely orders per originator and client specification
- Responsible for inquiry preparation, purchasing, negotiating, expediting, commercial bid analysis, and invoice issue resolution
- Prepare/Maintain standard purchasing forms, including bid requests, purchase orders, change orders, procurement logs, 3rd party rental logs, reports
·Maintain documentation that provides verifiable evidence of competitive bidding practices and demonstrates that purchasing activities conform to established company guidelines and policies
·Resolve issues with orders, suppliers and customers in a timely manner
Job Requirements:
- Ability to interact with engineers, designers, clients, vendors and technical resources
- Ability to negotiate and interpret contracts and to handle vendor conflicts as they occur
- Receives direction on unconventional and/or complex problems, and possible solutions
- Receives thorough review of completed work for application of sound professional judgment
- Ability to set up and run procurement projects with supervision
- Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Candidates should have HS Diploma (college diploma is preferred) plus in construction. (Procurement, Sourcing, Site/Project Buying, Commodity Buying)
- Demonstrated success in supporting field operations and corporate departments on their Procurement needs
- Comfort in high change, ambiguous environments with a demonstrated ability to prioritize
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, interpersonal skills with a proven record of measurable achievements
- Strong general business acumen and professionalism; problem solving, strategy and execution experience
- Proficient MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- SAP experience & knowledge preferred
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and grow with the organization
- Good planning and analytical skills
