Import Service Manager
The Service Manager is responsible for running a profitable and efficient Automotive Service Department. These objectives are accomplished through an extremely strong focus on customer service and retention as well as the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, pricing and merchandising.
Key Responsibilities
· Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
· Hire, train, motivate and monitor the performance of department staff.
· Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
· Handle customer complaints immediately and according to dealership’s guidelines.
· Establish and enforce a pricing policy that balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business.
· Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence.
Core Requirements
· Excellent problem solver with outstanding leadership and communication skills.
· Five years of experience in an automotive service department.
· At least one year of supervisory management experience.
· Excellent communication and managerial skills.
· Ability to operate the department profitably within company guidelines.
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
