Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours every two weeks (Exempt)
Starting Wage DOE
Responsible for serving and supporting the needs of the Billings Clinic REI practice by driving excellence in patient care, employee engagement, and business performance. Accountable for the overall operations of the practice/department and leads a multi-disciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes. In partnership with the REI Medical Director and Billings Clinic leadership sets goals and drives the execution of those goals to achieve financial, operational, clinical, and laboratory success. To help the practice achieve these goals, ensures they are presented to and understood by the team; uses services and applications as needed, and shares best practices. Strikes a balance between day-to-day operating issues and strategic development initiatives to position the practice for solid, long-term growth.
Essential Job Functions
- Understanding key revenue drivers and research/implement ways to use that data to drive better results for the practice in patient experience, clinical success, and business performance.
- Facilitate and implement the annual budget process; evaluate department expenditures; evaluate needs for capital expenses within departments and evaluate staffing levels to ensure adequate and cost-effective staffing.
- Develop credibility and authority as the financial leader of the Practice by providing accurate analysis of budgets, timely P&L reports as required, and present healthcare financial trends and related operational processes.
- Implement policies and procedures required to effect the billing and collection for medical services.
- Assists in developing a short-term and long-term strategic plan with clearly defined priorities, goals, and measures of success. Identify opportunities for growth and scale, and to emphasize areas that have the greatest mission aligned impact.
- Evaluates the departments financial, operational, and marketing/sales structures to plan for ongoing improvements and better efficiencies.
- Implements and monitors compliance with related laws and regulations and assure all supporting documents are filed and secure.
- Makes recommendations and develops solutions to help promote effective and efficient work processes and standard operating procedures.
- Creates and implements a management process to execute on strategy, including metrics, measurable goals, and dashboards.
- Serves as a strategic advisor and consultant offering expert advice on contracts, negotiations or business deals that the corporation may enter into.

- Serves as a resource to other departments to help resolve problems and identify opportunities for improvement and expansion.
- Develops and maintains a positive relationship with all physicians to ensure open lines of communication and clarity with regard to the decision-making process and actual decisions made.
- Develops and maintains clear and consistent lines of communication across the practice to ensure that all employees are aware of department's goals, priorities, and guidelines, and are recognized for their achievements.
- Utilizes effective interpersonal problem-solving skills, empathic listening, and strong written/verbal communication skills to improve performance and the patient experience.
- Manages department relationships in our complex environment that necessitate incorporating multiple departments’ policies and regulatory requirements into good patient care/services.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Healthcare or Business Administration
- Preferred Graduate Degree Healthcare or Business Administration
Experience
- 10 Successful executive level leadership experience in a healthcare outpatient setting.
- Experience managing an out-patient practice, including risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in payor contracting and payor relations.
- Experience in health care marketing/sales is desirable.
Certifications and Licenses
- MT Driver License or the ability to obtain one At hire
