The Administrative Fellowship is a full-time, temporary position designed for recent graduates or individuals with a strong interest in healthcare administration. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and leadership training in a healthcare setting. The Administrative Fellow works with senior leadership to support the operational, strategic, and financial functions of the organization, contributing to the continued growth and success of the healthcare system.
Essential Job Functions
Operational Support:
• Collaborate with leadership to
improve operational processes and workflows.
• Assist in the development and
implementation of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and
organizational efficiency.
• Monitor key performance
indicators (KPIs) and assist in reporting on departmental performance.
Strategic Initiatives:
• Participate in planning and
executing strategic projects aimed at improving the quality of care and
operational excellence.
• Conduct research and analysis to
inform decision-making for various healthcare initiatives.
• Assist in the development of
long-term strategic goals and align them with the organization's mission and
vision.
Financial Management:
• Work with finance teams to
understand budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
• Assist in the analysis of
financial reports and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
• Support the development of
financial models for strategic projects or expansions.
Leadership Development &
Mentorship:
• Participate in mentorship
sessions with senior executives and department heads.
• Attend leadership development
programs and networking events.
• Gain exposure to different
departments within the organization to build a broad understanding of
healthcare management.
Communication and
Collaboration:
• Serve as a liaison between
departments to promote cross-functional collaboration.
• Prepare and deliver
presentations to senior leadership on various projects and initiatives.
• Participate in meetings,
committees, and other forums to contribute ideas and insights.
Project Management:
• Lead or assist in the management
of specific healthcare-related projects.
• Develop project plans,
timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
• Track progress and provide
regular updates to stakeholders.
General:
• Supports and models behaviors
consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business
conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and
departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental
and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee,
patient safety or job performance.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
• Four (4) Year / Bachelor’s Degree
in Health Care Administration, Health Services Administration, Business
Administration, Public Health or related field
• Graduate Degree in Health Care
Administration, Health Services Administration, Business Administration, Public
Health or related field preferred
Experience
• Previous healthcare-related experience (internships, part-time roles, or projects) is a plus
Certifications and Licenses
• Driver License/Ability to be insured to operate organization vehicles - At hire
