What’s the role?
As the Director of Accounting, you will play a critical role in designing and building out the accounting function at Bilt. You should have exceptional operational accounting skills, expertise in establishing scalable processes, and the ability to balance complex cross-functional initiatives.
In this role, you will…
The salary range for a Director of Accounting is $175,000 - $220,000 based on experience, and will be eligible for equity and an annual performance-based bonus.

What’s the role?
As the Director of Accounting, you will play a critical role in designing and building out the accounting function at Bilt. You should have exceptional operational accounting skills, expertise in establishing scalable processes, and the ability to balance complex cross-functional initiatives.
In this role, you will…
- Partnering with our business teams to build scalable accounting processes, and developing and executing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Play a key role in our month-end close process, implementing best practices, improvements and automations
- Drive the annual audit process
- Supporting corporate tax initiatives
- Help lead the company’s relationships with our external accounting firms and partners across technical accounting, audit and tax
- Support Accounting leadership in cross-functional projects and the enforcement of policies and procedures that impact financial statement close
- Support finance/accounting system implementations and explore new technologies and tools that the accounting function can use to improve operations and scalability
- 5 years of experience in accounting, including experience in a management role
- Strong, comprehensive understanding of US GAAP
- Experience with accounting software systems
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- An expert in multi-tasking when it comes to managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously and time management skills
- Detail-oriented and analytical, producing high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
- CPA license a plus
