Position Summary
The Risk Management intern will work closely with the Risk Manager and Director of Risk Management to assist in their day-to-day activities. They will be exposed to the management of the BBU Property and Casualty program to see how what they have learned in the classroom is applied to a national company. They will also visit BBU facilities to gain first-hand knowledge of the BBU operations to better understand the business and help in their daily work.
Salary Range: $19-21/ hour

Key Job Responsibilities
- Update our monthly Open Claims Summary
- Work with broker(s) to obtain Certificates of Insurance
- Update Schedule of Values for Property insurance program
- Meet with members of our Carrier, Broker and TPA teams
- Visit multiple manufacturing facilities to get a firsthand look into BBU’s loss exposures
- Assist in monthly safety reporting:
- Safety Progress Reports
- Safety Auto Reports
- Assist in administrative aspects of GB Safety, our safety management system:
- Setting up users
- Assigning Incident Coordinators
- Adding new locations
- Updating email distribution lists
- Assist in bringing outstanding Intelex projects to completion:
- Support in interfacing the system with Qlik
- Participate in status update calls with Intelex
- Assist in maintaining our Safety SharePoint site
- Various other day-to-day activities
Education and Work History:
- Currently enrolled Risk Management major at an accredited college or university
- Able to work 5 days/week
- Demonstrates the core BBU values
- Willing to work hard
