Job Description
Job Title: Part-Time Dumpster Consultant/Sales
General Purpose of Job: Assist customers during the dumpster scheduling process. Work closely with dispatch to ensure a smooth delivery and pick-up for each customer. Communicate with customers via phone, email, and/or text. Complete additional general office tasks as instructed. This position will also include some outside sales and marketing throughout NW Ohio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Understanding of dumpster sizes, material restrictions, and coverage area
· Answer inbound calls promptly
· Assist customers with selecting an appropriate size bin for their project
· Reply to emails and texts from customers in a timely manner
· Place phone calls to leads submitted through the website
· Enter dumpster orders submitted through website
· Call customers as needed to move vehicles, let them know the driver is on the way, verify information, etc
· Call and text customers to confirm pick-ups for the following day
· Send out thank you cards for good reviews
· Follow up with leads and maintain lead tracking form
· General filing and restocking of forms as needed
· Assisting with maintaining a clean and orderly work place
Required Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Work history of customer service with a focus on building customer relationships.
General knowledge of construction materials, hazardous waste, and the Indianapolis and Columbus area is preferred.
Personality Traits: Must be adaptable to change with a friendly, helpful nature. Employees should enjoy working in a fast-paced, group environment.
Language Skills: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers in a professional manner in both written and verbal formats.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
Physical Requirements: The essential duties require physical use of a standard desk phone, cell phone, computer keyboard and mouse. Requirements include sitting, reaching, gripping, close and distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Computer Skills: Must have proficient typing and texting skills. Should be familiar with using map websites in order to verify potential customers are within the company delivery area.
Work Environment: Noise level ranges from quiet to loud during busy times. Ability to remain focused despite increased noise and activity level is a must.
Marketing/Sales: In this position you will be required to assist with outside sales to new customers. There will be several hours each week that you will be asked to drop off marketing material to contractors and real estate companies.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 to $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
