ONSITE ROLE to West Des Moines, IA
Key Responsibilities
· Develop & Maintain Applications: Analyze, design, and maintain high-complexity applications, including coding, testing, and documentation in compliance with company development standards.
· Adhere to Best Practices: Ensure strict compliance with documentation, development methodologies, testing, and other technical processes.
· Stay Ahead of Technology Trends: Conduct research and maintain expertise in system software/hardware to optimize operations and implementations.
· Provide Support & Troubleshooting: Offer 24/7 support for production systems, diagnose system issues, and collaborate with technical, business, and system personnel to resolve problems.
· Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor development staff and consultants on technical matters and best practices.
· System Design & Integration: Create functional designs for core system components, define system objectives, and execute complex technology configurations to meet business requirements.
· Enhance Business Processes: Partner with business units to identify and implement process improvements.
· Project Management: Develop and maintain project plans for complex systems while ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
· Application Administration: Manage daily operations of production applications and facilitate regular communication between business and IT teams.
· Testing & Quality Assurance: Prepare test data, develop test plans, conduct system testing, debug applications, and provide guidance on problem resolution.
· Special Projects: Lead or contribute to systems-related special projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
· Education & Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or a related field, plus five years of relevant experience OR
o Master’s degree in a related field, plus three years of relevant experience
· Technical Expertise:
o Five years of experience with Informatica, SQL, and database technologies
o Strong knowledge of data handling methods, development techniques, and programming languages
o Experience in insurance or finance data processing is preferred
· Soft Skills:
o Strong oral and written communication skills
o Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance
o Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
