Overview
The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for managing the financial transactions related to product sales and cash collection. This includes invoicing, tracking payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely collections. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Generate and send accurate invoices to customers,
- Record payments in accounting system,
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments,
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies,
- Collaborate with sales and customer services team to address billing inquiries,
- Prepare financial reports related to accounts receivable,
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes,
- Other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
Skills
- Experience with collections and credit management,
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and outlook,
- Highly self-motivated and able to work in a team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field,
- 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role,
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar),
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities,
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
