Job Summary: Bingham and Taylor is seeking a skilled 3D Printing Technician to operate and maintain industrial FDM and SLA 3D printers at our Culpeper, VA facility. This role supports operations, product development, and sales by producing prototypes and functional parts. The Technician will plan and execute print jobs, perform post-processing, maintain equipment, and ensure the 3D Printing Lab meets safety and quality standards. This position requires up to 5% travel, which may include international trips. Fluency in English is required for this position, as effective communication is essential for successful job performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain industrial FDM and SLA 3D printers.
- Plan, prepare, execute, and post-process print jobs.
- Use slicer software (e.g., Materialize Magics) for job preparation.
- Manage resin and filament inventories and related documentation (TDS/SDS).
- Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on 3D printing equipment.
- Maintain lab safety, cleanliness, and industrial hygiene standards.
- Diagnose and repair electromechanical systems (e.g., sensors, motors).
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet print specifications and deadlines.
- Optimize lab operations using 6S and other process improvement methods.

Qualifications:
- 2-year technical degree or 4 years of industrial maintenance/engineering lab experience, or 2 years operating industrial 3D printers.
- Experience with SLA printing equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial hygiene, ISO9001, and 5S principles.
- Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent coordination, time management, and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on collaboration and accountability.
Physical Requirements: This position may require frequent bending, lifting, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Employees should be able to perform this duty with or without reasonable accommodations.
