Job Title: Dip Tank Operator
Department: Assembly
Reports To: Shift Supervisor
Shift: Second 2:30pm to 1:00am
Job Summary: Bingham & Taylor is seeking a skilled Dip Tank Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for using appropriate equipment to dip castings to specifications. All duties will be performed within safety, quality, and production standards. Fluency in English is required for this position, as effective communication is essential for successful job performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine castings visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Load materials into dip baskets.
- Safely lower basket into tank to dip castings and assure all items in the dip basket are painted.
- Move controls to start, stop, lower, and raise the hoist.
- Observe operation of equipment to ensure continuity of flow, safety, and efficient operation, and to detect malfunctions.
- Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using moving equipment.
- Notify supervisor of any issues and/or needed repairs.
- Clean work areas.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior manufacturing, warehousing or industrial experience preferred.
- Demonstrated stable work history preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
Physical Requirements: This position may require frequent bending, lifting, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Employees should be able to perform this duty with or without reasonable accommodations.
