Job Description

We are looking for an effective Warehouse Lead to direct receiving, warehouse, and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of products. You will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. Ultimately, you should be detail oriented and organized, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. You must achieve inventory accuracy, track shipping times, and oversee the fulfillment of orders.

Objectives of this Role

• Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals
• Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping
• Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
• Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
• Setting up a layout and ensuring efficient and organized space utilization
• Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
• Order Fulfillment: versed in all aspects of order fulfillment. Including creation of labels and BOLs, banding, wrapping skids, arranging pickups, loading, and unloading trucks and quality control.
• Inventory Management: Organize inventory in an efficient manner. Maintain stock of packing supplies as necessary to perform daily duties. Perform regular Quality Control checks on outgoing packages.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, receiving, security, maintenance, and customer service
• Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
• Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
• Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention
• Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages
• Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner
• Keep up-to-date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
• Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
• Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years experience in a warehouse lead role managing hourly employees
• Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
• Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
• Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with all levels of company staff
• Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (English, Spanish)
• Advanced degree in logistics or supply chain management
• Proficiency with barcode and software for warehouse management
