Our team has an immediate need for a Sr. Utility Observer to join their team. In this role you will travel extensively to perform field data collection of overhead electrical distribution equipment, framing and telecommunication facilities.

Our team has an immediate need for a Sr. Utility Observer to join their team. In this role you will travel extensively to perform field data collection of overhead electrical distribution equipment, framing and telecommunication facilities.
What You Will Do
- Identify the overhead electrical components of power distribution structures.
- Identify distribution framing standards
- Identify overhead communication components and attachments.
- Collect and record data on all overhead electrical and communication components: type, size, height, angle, owner, etc.
- Perform data collection utilizing approved collection materials to include laptop, iPad, GPS, range finder, measuring sticks, and other electronic devices as necessary.
- Operate necessary equipment to take measurements on utility poles and mid-span facilities and perform pole inspections.
- Responsible for the quality of your individual work.
- Responsible for meeting the quality requirements as outlined per project working on.
- Self-check all work and the work of others as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in dry and wet utility telecom and waterline electrical systems.
- You must have a valid Texas driver’s license with a driving record that meets our authorized driver requirements.
- Must be able to travel full-time and work outdoors in all weather conditions, carry equipment, and walk several miles a day. *Meal allowance will be provided*
- Preferred knowledge and proficient use of laptop, iPad, GPS, range finder, measuring sticks, and other electronic devices
- Software literate – especially MS Word, Excel
- Preferred knowledge of electrical systems
- Knowledge of electrical distribution construction and planning procedures is a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Working knowledge of power and or communication industry is preferred.
- Possess a working knowledge of OSHA requirements to the individual job responsibilities.
