SUMMARY :
The Warehouse Specialist ensures that the daily functions and procedures of the distribution center for manufacturers and blending operators receive accurate products smoothly and efficiently. Their duties revolve around shipping, receiving, and maintaining warehouse inventory. They fulfill bill of material orders, package items for shipment, and arrange delivery pickups for Logistics. This Specialist is also responsible for directing and overseeing the receiving and unloading of incoming material, the staging and loading of outgoing packaged goods, and inventory of those materials. Warehouse Specialist position will report to Facility Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Warehouse specialists include problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and multitasking.
- You must become familiar with BioGro inventory control systems and OSHA safety guidelines and practices.
- Responsible for inventory management of warehouse facility, packaged goods, packaging supplies, and dry soluble.
- They organize how and where materials are stored. Additionally, they monitor inventory levels in the warehouse and restock as needed. Also, they confirm the number of items received against invoices.
- Organize and manage receiving activities, raw material and finished product storage and shipment of finished goods.
- Manage raw material quality and tempering activities.
- Ensure appropriate raw material and quantities for blends to coincide with blend tickets.
- Do monthly inventory counts of warehouse facilities, packaged goods, packaging supplies and dry soluble.
- Conducts material sample testing on all products, before they are shipped or received, testing for Ph levels, specific gravity, color, odor, and NPK range.
- Communicate with Production Manager and Purchasing in support of raw material availability for production and to minimize manufacturing downtime.
- Receive materials into Acumatica (ERP system).
- Oversee the loading and unloading of all incoming / outgoing raw materials and other products from the facility.
- Operate machinery to move around product.
- Lead and provide direction to the team supporting inventory control to drive inventory accuracy, raw material and finished good traceability and continuous improvement in inventory management.
- Drive culture of safety within the warehouse and BioGro team.
- May work in other areas to help with production / facility needs.
- Work with Production Manager to keep manufacturing schedule running smoothly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :
The work environment is mostly outdoors during all weather conditions. Work is performed around moving machinery and equipment, noise levels vary depending on what equipment is being worked around such as : Gas / Air / Electric pumps, forklifts, ladders, hoses, tractors, sky trek, skyjack, catwalks, general hand tools, agitators, mixers, scales, pH meters, specific gravity cups, valves, camlock couplers, y-strainers, sweecos, and decanters.
