What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Specialist position at Felix Construction Company?
Felix Construction is looking for a Warehouse Specialist is to ensure accessibility and traceability of job materials (Electrical & Mechanical) in the warehouse and to provide support to project managers and superintendents. Typically requires familiarity of electrical components, mechanical piping process equipment and administrative experience.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist in maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization for optimal efficiency
- Receive and inspect electrical and mechanical deliveries for quality and accuracy
- Log verified materials into computer system
- Tag and stage all electrical and mechanical deliveries appropriately for easy identification
- Scan and electronically file paperwork (such as packing slips and purchase orders) to ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Manage material system and ensure accuracy for team utilization
- Utilize company forklift to move deliveries and materials safely
- May help other departments such as panel or mechanical shop when needed
- Review and track heavy equipment as it returns to the yard
- Assist with inspections of heavy equipment to ensure proper working condition
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols
- Work independently and manage time appropriately to meet organizational goals
- Other duties as assigned
Who You Are
Work Environment and Physical Demands :
This position requires working in a warehouse with occasional extreme temperatures. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and climb on / off of equipment. Specific vision abilities required include the ability to adjust and focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods, walk, sit, kneel, bend, reach with hands and arms, hear, and talk.
