What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Administrator position at Bio-Gro?
We are seeking a highly capable HR Administrator to join our team to support the day-to-day activities for our Human Resources department.
The HR Administrator will assist in the recruiting and onboarding process, responsible for efficiently processing employee data. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date files is crucial for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The ability to handle confidential information with discretion will be essential in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting in the recruitment process by posting job ads, organizing resumes and job applications, scheduling job interviews, and assisting in interview processes.
- Managing employee records, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Providing timely assistance in handling employee inquiries regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations. Elevate to HR Manager as appropriate.
- Assisting in payroll preparation by providing relevant data e.g., time adjustments, absences, benefits, and leaves.
- Coordinating HR projects such as meetings, training, surveys, and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.
- Drafting and distributing high-quality correspondence including memos, letters, emails, and forms.
- Handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Supports the administration and coordination of electronic employee personnel files, adhering to company-wide policies and procedures. Organizes and maintains confidential files and records.
- Reviews and ensures accurate completion of new hire paperwork.
- Processes changes in employee status, including employee transfers, wage changes, and employee personal information updates.
- Maintains corrective actions and separation documentation for unemployment claims and legal requests.
- Maintains I-9 & E-Verify file integrity.
- Utilizes multiple systems and screens throughout the workday.

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HR administrative assistant or similar role.
