This critical role will manage the entire data and analytics function, overseeing architecture, governance, and reporting, ensuring alignment with business goals to drive innovation. The Director will lead efforts in complex data integrations, advanced analytics, and machine learning solutions, empowering teams to make data-driven decisions and contributing to the company's overall performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Data & Analytics Strategy: Lead and execute a comprehensive data and analytics strategy that aligns with business objectives and drives innovation.
- Architecture & Engineering: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of data architecture and engineering solutions to optimize data utilization.
- Reporting & Analytics Development: Spearhead the creation of advanced reports and analytics to support informed business decisions.
- Complex Data Integrations: Manage complex integrations across diverse systems and platforms, ensuring seamless data flow.
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data consistency, security, and quality.
- Collaboration & Enablement: Work closely with all business units to understand data needs and deliver user-friendly analytics solutions while empowering non-technical users.
- Technical Debt Management: Identify and eliminate technical debt to improve system efficiency and performance.
- Focus on Key Analytics Areas: Lead efforts in key business areas such as eCommerce, financial, sales and marketing, supply chain, and operational analytics.
- Machine Learning & AI Solutions: Lead the development and deployment of AI and machine learning-driven analytics solutions.
- Master Data Management: Drive consistency and reliability of data across the organization through master data management.
- Team Leadership & Development: Grow and develop a high-performing data and analytics team, ensuring ongoing professional growth and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with senior business leaders and other departments to drive data-driven decisions and performance optimization.
- Financial Acumen & Budgeting: Develop business cases for investments in data technologies and resources, and manage budgets effectively.
- Lead data analytics and warehousing teams, providing thought leadership, mentorship, and fostering a data-driven culture within the company.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to inform strategic decisions with data-driven insights and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Influence non-technical stakeholders across the organization by communicating complex data concepts in a clear and actionable manner.
- Experience: 15 years of experience in data and analytics, with a proven track record of building and leading analytics functions.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in life sciences, manufacturing, or online retail industries is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in data architecture, engineering, governance, advanced analytics, and machine learning.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, grow teams, and manage complex projects while collaborating across departments.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Business Acumen: Financial understanding of a publicly-traded company and the ability to build business cases for technology investments.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic approach to data analysis and decision-making.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data technologies that support both structured and unstructured data, such as SQL Server, MySQL, .Net apps, data lake, Azure Data Factory, Google Analytics, Salesforce, Marketo, Synapse, Event Grid, Databricks, DOMO, Boomi and data visualization tools like PowerBI, as well as statistical analysis and A/B testing.
