Job Summary:
The Maintenance Lead oversees the maintenance of manufacturing equipment, responsible for troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. This role supports new equipment installation, start-up, and validation, as well as planning preventative maintenance activities. The Maintenance Lead effectively manages direct reports to ensure maintenance activities are completed as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage direct reports responsible for equipment and facilities repairs and maintenance.
- Hands-on manufacturing equipment troubleshooting and diagnosis.
- Research, specify, and procure required parts for manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain spare parts inventory.
- Assist in procurement, installation, and validation of new manufacturing equipment.
- Setup maintenance schedules on all equipment and coordinate activities with planning/scheduling.
- Maintain good housekeeping requirements.
- Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate in the development of environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
- Aid management in preparing maintenance budgets and work to minimize equipment-operating cost.
- Support training and development of team members to drive the completion of team and individual goals.
Requirements:
- High School diploma (or equivalent) and 7 years of work-related experience are preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP and ISO regulations is preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience in GMP setting preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing modern electrical and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on ability with machine tools such as milling machines and lathes is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must be capable of working effectively in a team environment with co-workers and management within the organization.
- Strong English reading and writing skills are required.
- Lifting ability up to 35lbs and manual dexterity are also required.
