It operates nine donor centers in South Texas, distributing blood, plasma, platelets, and other components to regional hospitals and emergency first responders. It also provides starting materials to therapeutic developers, and clinical research services. Its apheresis center received FACT accreditation in 2022 for peripheral blood cellular therapy product collection. As an AATB-accredited tissue bank, it offers tissue recovery from living and deceased donors.

General Summary
Responsible to achieve established blood collection goals by recruiting community businesses, religious institutions, organizations, and groups to sponsor blood drives.
Will educate and inform their members about the functions and needs of the community Blood Donor Program.
Conduct all aspects of donor recruitment within assigned areas, including public education, persuasive presentations, blood drive administration and minority outreach programs.
Invite qualifying individuals to join the research l registry and provide registration instructions.
Develop value proposition for existing and new accounts to highlight benefits of participating in campaigns of blood drives employees to routinely engage the organization and its members in community and corporate responsibility programs.

Achieve established blood collection goals within established department guidelines and performance requirements, including whole blood and apheresis inside a smaller territory by units collection count. (Typically 75 ‐ 80% that of a regular territory size)
Assure appropriate planning which fosters consistent territorial production goal achievement and within CPUC guidelines.
Identify, develop and implement creative strategies to attract potential sponsors consistent with organizational goals.
Assure preparation of individual account and territorial management plans to maximize production.
Include flexible approaches to include comprehensive product offering that reflects benefits of whole blood, and apheresis campaigns.
Works with Senior Account Manager to develop and hone skills necessary to grow accounts and territory by 10% within the first 365 days.
Coordinate recruitment drives including logistics, supplies, volunteer help, education, and media coverage, when appropriate.
Must follow and execute steps for 12 ‐ week plan (recruitment account timeline) for blood drives.
Consistently implement recruitment strategies to include timely documentation of all activities/notes in Invita (Hemacollect/Hemaconnect) platform.
Consistently develop and implement fundamental recruitment plans for each account (Ask/Commit/Remind/Recognize) strategy expressed as “Plan to Goal,” which includes measurable and timebound.” components of those recruitment tactics.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with blood drive sponsors including maximizing selling opportunities and timely follow up in accordance with the 12 ‐ week plan.
Consistently implement fundamentals of relationship selling, including facilitating executive involvement in serving as champion for blood, apheresis, and marrow drives.
Prospect new organizations and groups to sponsor blood drives, mobile apheresis operations and Be ‐ the ‐ Match campaigns.
Assure recruitment processes include consistently practicing active listening to discern the voice ‐ of ‐ the ‐ customer.
Routine workflow should include feedback loop to support and operating units performing service delivery.
Provide educational events to the community regarding the functions and needs of the Blood Donor program and encourage blood drive sponsorship.
Coordinate community blood drives, and provide organizational and operational support to the sponsoring organization and the assigned Chairperson.
Arrange all aspects of recruitment drives including scheduling, obtaining volunteers, educational events, and media coverage, when appropriate.
Maintain accurate and updated records, tracking, and statistical data by completing drive results as required and providing appropriate correspondence.
Assist with public relations requests to meet departmental, newspaper, radio and television deadlines. Arrange for and assist in the preparation of material for special events, media or visitors.
Coordinate and work booths at fairs and special events, etc.
Maintain a close working relationship with recruitment and Donor Services staff, assuring world class service delivery.
Assist coworkers with completion of assigned job tasks as necessary.
