We are seeking an order entry specialist responsible for processing incoming orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data entry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Process orders in a timely and efficient manner to meet customer delivery expectations.
- Acknowledge quotes, calculate carrier costs and determine carrier.
- Establish ship dates depending upon inventory and production workload.
- Contact the customers if clarifications are needed.
- Enter information into PaceJet for the customer’s carrier account.
- Calculate commission and enter the information for the sales representative’s location.
- Maintain and update our customer database.
- Document all orders on the Order Entry Identification Issue spreadsheet with their order number, quoted/cataloged, along with any issues incurred during write-up process, and date when entered.
- Set up new dealers.
- Attend various meetings and trainings as required.
- Communicate essential information to those affected.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required, 2-year degree preferred.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel. Prior experience with ERP software a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
