Product Development Engineer

Brief Description

Research & Innovation:

• Conduct in-depth research regarding customer needs and industry trends to identify potential product ideas and needs
  
  

Product Design & Prototyping

• Design new innovative products and prototypes of products to evaluate the performance against set criteria
  
  

Testing & Validation

• Develop and execute testing protocols to validate product functionality and performance
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer expectations
• Investigate and troubleshoot product test failures, providing actionable solutions to improve designs
  
  

Production Evaluation

• Assess production options, including cost and scalability, to ensure the most efficient process is selected
  
  

Collaboration With Marketing

• Work closely with the marketing team to ensure the product aligns with the company’s brand image and marketing strategies
• Contribute to product positioning and communication to internal teams and external stakeholders
  
  

Documentation & Reporting

• Write detailed test protocols, record results, and maintain accurate documentation
• Regularly report progress and highlight any risks or issues to manager or stakeholders
  
  

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure all product development activities conform to regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g. FDA, ISO)
  
  

Cross Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate effectively with other teams to ensure all stages of product development are completed efficiently
  
  

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Biological Sciences, or a related field
• Master’s of Science in Engineering is preferred
  
  

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical or Biotech industry, particularly in product development and testing in regenerative medicine or related field
  
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Extensive knowledge of the Biotech/Pharma industry, with specific experience in regenerative medicine preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including R&D and marketing
• Experience in writing test protocols and analyzing test results
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the biotech sectors (e.g., FDA, ISO)

Job Overview
